One of the best parts of this job is the connections I get to make with such wonderful people—and Sarah and Alejandro are the perfect example. I first met them at Bay Pointe Inn during their dinner tasting, and what was supposed to be a quick introduction turned into a long, easy conversation with them (and Alejandro’s parents, too!). We wandered the property together, chatting and scouting photo spots, and it instantly felt like we were old friends, even though it was our very first meeting.

Since then, I’ve kept in touch with Alejandro over the summer as we worked out little wedding details, and just over a week ago I finally got to spend an evening with both of them in their element—home in downtown Chicago. We explored their neighborhood, laughed our way through some adorable photos, and even captured some gorgeous views of the city skyline.

These two have such a sweet, genuine connection, and it shines through in every moment they share. Spending time with them only made me more excited for their October wedding. Sarah and Alejandro, thank you for being such incredible people—I’m so grateful I get to be your photographer!
