Jake and Hannah’s wedding day was the perfect mix of rustic charm, beautiful weather, and so much happiness.

They said “I do” at a lakeside park in Traverse City—the very same park where Hannah’s aunt and uncle were married years ago. It made the setting extra special, and it was the sweetest place for these two to finally make it official.

Hannah had a beautiful enchanted-forest-inspired look for the day, complete with a gorgeous embroidered veil that added such a pretty personal touch. And honestly, the best accessory she had was the huge smile she wore pretty much all day long. Jake wasn't far behind her. He looked absolutely over the moon from the time I arrived until the end of the night.

You could tell these two were REALLY excited to be married. We caught them sneaking in cuddles and kisses every chance they got, which honestly made my job pretty easy. They were so comfortable together that I barely had to do much beyond giving them a little direction and letting them be themselves.

The ceremony took place surrounded by the people who came to celebrate with them. Having Hannah's family history tied to the park made the whole thing feel even more meaningful, and I'm sure it was pretty special for her aunt and uncle to see her get married in the same place.

After the ceremony, we spent some time exploring the park for photos, and these two were so much fun to photograph. We wandered around, laughed a lot, and took advantage of the beautiful evening. We also made time for some sunset photos, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day. There is just something about being outside together at the end of a wedding day that makes it easy to forget everything else going on.

And then there was the first dance.

At some point, Jake and Hannah disappeared. We couldn't find them anywhere! Turns out, they were off practicing their first dance one more time. They had spent some time practicing beforehand and wanted to make sure they were ready, which was pretty adorable.

By the end of the night, there was no question that these two were exactly where they wanted to be. They were surrounded by people who love them, married in a place that already held special meaning for their family, and spent the entire day looking like two people who were very, very happy to finally be husband and wife.

Congratulations again, Jake and Hannah! I'm so happy I got to be there to celebrate with you both, and I hope your life together is always filled with this much laughter, happiness, cuddling, and smooching. 🤍
