It’s been a little bit since I’ve done an engagement session, but I was SO excited to meet Bella and Logan out on the channel between Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Lake Michigan!

The two of them have their own little boat, and with ours FINALLY out of the shop, we could all go sailing AND photograph their engagement session. Pretty much the perfect excuse to spend an evening on the water!

Bella has been doing my hair, as well as my daughters’ hair, for a few years now, and it’s always so much fun to catch up with her. So when she told me she and her boyfriend were finally engaged, I was so excited for them! She had a few ideas for their engagement session, and I was thrilled to help make them happen—especially when she suggested the boat.

Bella LOVES being on the water and is planning a beach wedding, so this was the perfect way to tie it all together. And since the two of them are getting married in Mexico, I probably won’t get the chance to photograph their wedding, so I wanted to make the most of our time together this time around.

We had an absolute blast out on the water, and these two were so much fun to photograph. Lots of sailing, lots of laughing, and thankfully, some really great photos along the way. 😉
