If you’re considering Bay Pointe Inn for your wedding, I’d love to help you think through what your day could look like—from your timeline to the best photo locations and everything in between.

It’s one of those venues where, when everything comes together, it just works—and I’m always excited to be a part of it!

Planning a Bay Pointe Wedding?

Bay Pointe isn’t just pretty—it’s designed in a way that makes your day feel easy.

There are backup plans built in, spaces that flow well together, and a team that knows what they’re doing. That means less stress for you, more time enjoying your people, and a day that actually feels like it’s happening with you, not to you.

(And yes—those tend to be the best photos, too.)

Why It Works So Well

Bay Pointe Woods is the newest space on the property, and it’s quickly become a favorite.

It has a more equestrian-style reception space with high ceilings and modern touches, and it works really well for larger weddings—but can be tailored for smaller groups, too.

There are tons of windows (which means lots of natural light 🙌), and a beautiful wraparound overhang that keeps things comfortable rain or shine.

The outdoor ceremony space is beautifully manicured, and the surrounding area includes cottages where you can get ready and stay—super convenient and really well thought out with different layout options.

There are also fountains, fire pits, space for yard games, and access to a nearby wooded trail, which is perfect if you want some moodier, nature-inspired photos mixed in with everything else.

And if you’re looking for a space that can handle a really good dance party… this is it. I’ve seen some amazing ones here!

If you’re planning a smaller wedding—or a winter wedding—the Fireside Room is such a cozy option.

You’re protected from the weather, but still have access to beautiful outdoor spaces for photos when you want them. Inside, the fireplace creates an inviting atmosphere that makes everything feel a little more intimate and relaxed.

It’s simple, comfortable, and a great fit for couples who want something a little more low-key.

The Fireside Room

The Boathouse has a completely different feel—in the best way. It’s more private, more intimate, and perfect if you want your wedding to feel like a full weekend experience.

It’s a private, spacious cottage residence where you and many of your guests can stay together for the weekend. The Boathouse features several bedrooms, multiple dedicated getting-ready spaces, and access to some of my favorite photo spots on the entire property—many of which are just for Boathouse guests.

There’s also a built-in bar space in the basement, plus shuffleboard and a pool table, which adds a really fun, relaxed element to the day.

Outside, you’ve got a high-ceiling covered porch (great backup option for weather), a balcony overlooking Gun Lake, and a ceremony space right on the water.

It’s designed for smaller, more intimate weddings, but there’s still plenty of room to celebrate and have an amazing time.

The Boathouse

Perfect if you’re dreaming of a lakeside wedding. This one is hard to beat!

You’ve got stunning views of Gun Lake, a perfect breeze coming off the water, and a ceremony space right on the lake with a trellis that frames everything beautifully. It’s one of those spots where everything just feels right.

The covered pavilion is well-designed—it allows guests to move easily between indoor and outdoor spaces, keeping things comfortable and relaxed throughout the day.

From my perspective, the lighting here is so good (always a win), and there’s plenty of room for dinner, dancing, and everything in between. Plus, you’re just steps from the docks, which makes sunset strolls (and photos!) super easy and honestly kind of perfect.

And at the end of the night? It’s a quick walk back to the hotel, which your guests will definitely appreciate.

The Lakeside Pavilion

If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-run wedding venue in West Michigan, Bay Pointe Inn is one I come back to again and again.

It’s not just the views (though those are amazing)—it’s how smoothly everything flows. Their team hosts weddings all week during peak season, so they know exactly how to keep things organized and stress-free. Add in great food, flexible options, and a curated vendor list, and it’s a really solid choice for couples who want a relaxed, enjoyable day.

One of the best parts? You have multiple spaces to choose from, depending on your vibe.
